Hello, I’m Narek Kerobian, a full-time software developer since 2012, and this is my second attempt at having a personal corner on the internet.
Who am I?
I’m a husband of the most beautiful lady on the planet, a father of two little rascals whom I adore from the bottom of my heart, and a self-taught software developer.
I love to (over) think about and analyze all sorts of random stuff.
Traveling, exploring new locations, and photography are where my heart is ❤️
What do I do for living?
I am self-employed, working on personal projects and as a contractor whenever I have interesting offers. I’m most experienced in PHP, specifically with Symfony-related stuff, but over the last few years, I’ve been increasingly pivoting towards working with Go and Python.
Over the years, I’ve worked on multiple heavy-load projects, such as news outlets, SaaS platforms, finance-related tools, and much more.
Why does this website exist?
As stated above, this is my second attempt at owning and maintaining a personal website.
The motivation for my previous attempt was experimentation and forcing myself to write, which failed miserably, but provided some valuable lessons. This time, however, I know my limits better, and I’m more driven by the “own your data” principle.
As I’ve started exploring photography and learning new things, I’ve fallen increasingly in love with it. So, I’ll primarily use this platform to house my photos, and provide more context to them.
What to expect?
Writing engaging articles is still not my forte, but I may post some rants, notes, and document personal findings every now and then in the “Blog” section.
The “Photography” section contains all the individual photos and collections that I deem worthy of sharing with the general public.
Where to find me?
These days I’ve limited my presence in the social networks drastically, and the only place that I’m somewhat active is Pixelfed.
